content assist - Insert date or timestamp in Eclipse Editor -

i use different editors in eclipse , search short cut insert date or configurable timestamp f5-key in notepad.

often wrote text, comments , other textual stuff, need actual date.

if read question carefully, realize, templates doesn't solve problem, because in pure text files content assist java content assist isn't available.

i think there no such short cut key given in eclipse. can try plugin

open editor , press shift + ctrl + d insert current date , time. can change format of date , time in windows > preferences > chandrayya plugins
