something basic here wrong in declaring variables. declaring my main::$xa = main::$xa; in initialization not way go.

why error coming?

you're reading first argument pass function (22.595451), string, , trying treat array (which isn't).

presumably intended pass array reference single argument instead of passing each member of array separate argument.

having converted arrayref regular array, seem try treat scalar:

my $xa = @{ $_[0] }; 

that doesn't make sense.

based on later, looks want $ax arrayref, don't dereference it:

my $xa = $_[0];
